Mozambique
A journey developed in partnership with local dive centres and accommodation, where connection to the ocean and the local community is part of the experience.
Discover Mozambique
Mozambique is one of the last true frontiers of diving. Along the Inhambane coastline, the warm Agulhas Current brings nutrient-rich waters close to shore, creating a marine ecosystem of remarkable diversity. This is where encounters with some of the ocean’s giants take place - whale sharks, oceanic manta rays, humpback whales and the rare oceanic manta.
Our Mozambique expeditions are based in Tofo and along the Inhambane coast, where diving is raw, dynamic and memorable. Many outgoings begin with a short boat ride through the surf before reaching reef systems that few divers have explored. Visibility can surprise you, currents bring life to the reef and every dive may reveal something unexpected.
Beyond diving, Tofo has its own unique energy. Small beach restaurants serve good meals at accessible prices, while outdoor bars and terraces create a relaxed atmosphere that continues into the night. Among surfers, divers and travellers and locals, the village maintains a free and authentic spirit.
Local culture adds another dimension to the journey. Fishing communities, colourful markets and African flavours prepared on the beach make Tofo a destination that is lived well beyond the diving.
Megafauna Capital
One of the best places in the world for encounters with whale sharks and oceanic manta rays in open water. Along the coast of Tofo these species can be seen throughout much of the year, making the region a reference destination for divers and marine researchers.
Untouched Reefs
Dive along reef systems on the wildcoastline of Inhambane, far from the crowds and rich in marine life. Each dive can reveal something new, from large pelagic species to the smaller life of the reef.
Cultural Immersion
Connect with coastal communities and experience the rhythm of life by the ocean. From local markets and fishing villages to the warmth of Mozambican hospitality, every day in Tofo offers an authentic taste of East African coastal life.
